The Sports Fair Trade Commission holds a general meeting in the conference room on the 13th floor of the Olympic Hall at 2:10 p.m. today (12th) to deal with whether to approve Chairman Lee Ki-heung's second term and is conducting a qualification review.
Attention is focusing on whether 15 fair members will open the way for Lee's candidacy at a time when the government affairs office's public service inspection team has requested an investigation into him on charges of fraudulent hiring of employees and receiving bribes, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has suspended him from his duties.
The sports association's labor union held a protest in front of the conference hall calling for fair screening and demanded the resignation of Chairman Lee Ki-heung.
