Japanese media "Ishiba coordinates summit talks with President Yoon in Peru on the 16th"

Kyodo News reported that Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is coordinating a plan to hold a summit with President Yoon Suk Yeol in Peru on the occasion of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

Prime Minister Ishiba, who took office on the 1st of last month, first met with President Yoon in Laos on the 10th of the same month.

Jiji News Agency also reported that Prime Minister Ishiba is expected to meet with President Yoon during his visit to South America.

Prime Minister Ishiba will attend the APEC Summit to be held in Peru from the 15th to the 16th and the G20 Summit to be held in Brazil from the 18th to the 19th.

After being re-elected prime minister yesterday, Ishiba told a news conference that he wanted to meet with U.S. President Joe Biden, Yoon Suk Yeol and other heads of state to discuss the international situation openly.
