The New York Times reported on the 11th local time that Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, will enter a venture capital company without joining the second Trump administration.

The New York Times quoted two sources as saying Trump Jr. said he was joining venture capital firm "1789 Capital" as a partner when asked if he was going into his father's administration at a 10-day event that drew hundreds of donors.

The event was reportedly co-invested by Vice President-elect JD Vance and hosted by a "Rockbridge Network" of tech-friendly Republican donors.

'1789 Capital' is said to invest mostly in well-known products or companies in conservatives, including former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson's media company.

Trump Jr. is expected to play a huge role in the presidential election process, helping his father win re-election and wield huge influence behind the scenes even if he does not hold an official position in the second Trump administration.

We are also deeply involved in the appointment of the second administration, excluding those who think they know better than their father, and making it clear that we will appoint loyal people.
