Israel's new defense minister, Katz, has hinted at a possible attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.

"Iran is more exposed to attacks on its nuclear facilities than ever before," Katz said on social media on the night of the 11th local time.

"We have an opportunity to achieve our most important goal, which is to eliminate existential threats to the state of Israel," he said.

In the meantime, there has been an analysis that Israel could target nuclear facilities as a target for airstrikes as it retaliates against Iran, but it ended up hitting military facilities precisely on the 26th of last month.

Israel's cabinet, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been sending a hard-line message every day since former U.S. President Trump won the presidential election.

Secretary Gideon Sarr, who became the new head of the foreign ministry, also said about the outcome of the U.S. presidential election, "It is an important opportunity to apply Israeli sovereignty to settlements on the West Bank."

Netanyahu replaced Joab Gallant, a negotiator who had previously clashed with him, as defense minister on the 5th and appointed hardline Katz, who was foreign minister, as his successor.
