Promoting the Supreme Court chief and pushing for a revision of the special counsel for the opposition party's right to veto the bill
Opposition parties claim "excluding allegations of election interference such as general election"
Ahead of the plenary session of the National Assembly the day after tomorrow (14th), the Democratic Party of Korea accused Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People's Power, of "habitual lying" and urged him to cooperate with the handling of the first lady Kim Gun-hee's independent counsel law.
While further specifying the proposed amendment to the Special Counsel Act on the recommendation of a third party, it left room for negotiations with the ruling party.

The Democratic Party of Korea set the day that Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People's Power, cried out for the public's eyes and public sentiment, and after the Yoon Suk Yeol president's statement to the public, he was backtracking.
He pointed out that the Special Prosecutor's Act on Corporal Disease, which he vowed to propose earlier, is a "habitual lie" while avoiding the issue of Kim Gun-hee, which was said to be an issue that the people wanted 9 to 1.
[Park Chan-dae / Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea: Representative Han Dong-hoon and the power of the people are going to make a decision. This is the last chance to avoid the destruction of conservatives.Despite the prediction that it is not easy for representatives
to decide to cooperate with the independent counsel law, some say that such pressure is aimed at individual cracks instead of the ruling party's "group departure."
[Jung Sung-ho / Democratic Party of Korea (KBS Radio's "Fire Attack"): Looking at the current situation and reaction of the ruling party, I believe that Kim Gun-hee has no intention of doing it.]
We are also continuing to refine the amendment of the special prosecutor.
Regarding the so-called "third recommendation method," the opposition party will select two people after the chief justice of the Supreme Court recommends four people, and the president will appoint one of them, but the opposition party will have the "right to veto" to demand re-recommendation.
It is also analyzed as an attempt to leave the ruling party, and some say that the ruling party should exclude the suspicion of intervening in the general election or by-elections, which is widely named and repulsed by the ruling party.
[Park Sung-joon / Deputy floor leader of the main opposition Minjoo Party: The main opposition Democratic Party has already said it will be flexible in dealing with the Kim Gun-hee independent counsel law. We have also prepared to come up with an amendment.]
The Democratic Party of Korea also launched an all-out independent counsel offensive in June 2022, raising additional suspicions that Myung Tae-kyun was on a KTX presidential special train when Kim visited Bongha Village in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province.
[Park Jung-hyun / Minjoo Party member: It would be a serious problem if Kim Gun-hee boarded the first train for the president with a private person at the time of her inauguration]
The Democratic Party of Korea has decided to put it to a vote again at the plenary session of the National Assembly on the 28th if President Yoon repeatedly exercises his right to demand reconsideration even in the revised Kim Special Counsel Act.
In addition, the government plans to increase the intensity of pressure by handling a plan for a parliamentary investigation to investigate the alleged external pressure in the death of Chae Sang-byung.
