If an Interpol red flag is issued, Hasina, a former prime minister who is staying in India, could be arrested by local police and returned home.
Hasina remains in power for 15 years after taking power for a second time in 2009. He resigned in August after bloodshed broke out due to the suppression of force in a university student protest.
Bangladesh's law enforcement authorities have received a series of complaints against former Prime Minister Hasina for crimes against humanity, and the transitional government has pledged to take Hasina to court.
