Bitcoin, which soared due to the election of former President Donald Trump in the U.S. presidential election, briefly slowed down and then rose again to break the $90,000 mark.
As of 3:55 p.m. ET on the U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, the price per unit of Bitcoin was trading at $9045.35, up 3.4% from 24 hours ago.
Bitcoin, which had previously risen to a new record high since former President Trump's election on the 5th, jumped to the $89,900 level.
Bitcoin, which was below $70,000 on the morning of the 5th of the U.S. presidential election, surged 30% after breaking its all-time high since Trump's election, and is expected to reach $100,000 soon.
