Chung Hee-yong, a member of the People's Power, said he hopes Lee Jae-myung's first trial sentence, scheduled for the 15th and 25th, will serve as an opportunity to establish the rule of law.

In a statement, Chung said that the Democratic Party of Korea is in a competition for loyalty by threatening the prosecution with the impeachment of Lee's investigative prosecutor on the floor, and large-scale outdoor rallies, pleas for innocence using strong supporters, and signature campaigns.

He then pointed out that the Democratic Party of Korea should stop immediately and calmly wait for the judiciary's judgment, saying that it will do its best to launch a bulletproof offensive, rather than apologizing to the people for the party leader's crimes.
