The Financial Services Commission, which oversees financial markets, pulled its sword amid growing public anger over illegal collection issues.

After the collection and intimidation of illegal loan sharks surrounding the death of a woman in her 30s who was raising a 6-year-old child alone became known to the world through YTN reports, emergency measures were announced.

Kim So-young, vice chairman of the Financial Services Commission, held a meeting to inspect people's livelihoods and decided to push for the passage of the "Amendment to the Loan Business Act" as a top priority, saying the illegal private finance form is becoming more vicious.

It includes raising the level of punishment for illegal loans and nullifying anti-social loan contracts.

In particular, if participants in organized illegal loan companies or illegal collections such as stalking or sexual exploitation prevent them from living their normal daily lives, they will be arrested in principle.

After Yoon Suk Yeol's remarks that it is a vicious crime that destroys the lives of ordinary people, emergency measures against illegal collection have been announced one after another, drawing attention to how much the loop of illegal private finance can be broken.
