A warrant hearing will be held today (14th) for Myung Tae-kyun and former lawmaker Kim Young-sun, who are key figures in the 'suspicious intervention of nomination'.

Attention is focusing on the court's first judgment on the case, and whether or not to arrest him is expected to be decided as early as late as tonight.

Reporter Lim Hyung-joon reports.

The prosecution, which requested an arrest warrant for Myung Tae-kyun and Kim Young-sun, a former lawmaker of People's Power, sees the money exchanged between the two as a reward for nomination.

The prosecution judged that Myung had benefited economically from his involvement in the party's nomination by showing off his friendship with politicians such as the presidential candidate couple.

At the same time, he said that Myung has directly damaged the representative democracy system stipulated by the Constitution.

The prosecution believes that Myung has already removed evidence such as mobile phones.

Therefore, the prosecution believes that investigating without detention could eliminate other evidence.

According to the prosecution, 76 million won came and went between Myung and former lawmaker Kim in exchange for nomination.

Prosecutors believe former lawmaker Kim handed over the money to Myung 16 times since the 2022 parliamentary by-election.

In the midst of this, the prosecution also secured a statement from Myung that he received transportation expenses from First Lady Kim Gun-hee.

The prosecution is also known to have indicated that there is a risk of destroying evidence in the request for an arrest warrant for former lawmaker Kim.

It is said that the investigative agency's pursuit was traced in various ways, such as discarding the existing mobile phone or changing the name of the mobile phone to the name of the mother. The key figures in the

'suspected nomination intervention' are now at a crossroads.

The prosecution emphasized the need for arrest in an eight-page arrest warrant request, and only the court's judgment remained.
