First meeting with paid-in Ministry of Science and Technology and CEOs of 3 telecommunications companies

Yoo Sang-im, Minister of Science and ICT, met with representatives of the three telecommunications companies and said they should hurry to solve unreasonable pricing plan and illegal spam problems.

Minister Yoo held his first meeting with SK Telecom CEO Yoo Young-sang, KT CEO Kim Young-seop, and LG Uplus CEO Hwang Hyun-sik at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday (13th).

Minister Yoo said in his opening remarks that the reversal of LTE charges, the fourth-generation mobile telecommunications company, has recently become more expensive than 5G charges.

He also stressed the need for responsible measures by telecommunications companies, saying illegal spam texts are causing not only economic damage but also extreme pain to the people.

In addition, as the people's livelihood economy is struggling, telecommunications companies that engage with small and medium-sized business owners asked them to come forward for support.
