The number of female executives fell 10.7% from 830 in 2022 to 741 this year, and the proportion also fell from 22.9% to 20.6% as a result of an analysis of 327 locations disclosed in the management information disclosure system of public institutions by the Enterprise Analysis Institute Leaders Index.
This is in contrast to the 9.2% increase in female executives in public institutions in the previous three years.
At the same time, female employee growth has also slowed, with female employees up 11.1% in the three years from 2019, but only up 1.3% from 2022 to this year.
Former Vice Minister of Gender Equality and Family Yibox said that opportunities for leadership training for female managers should be expanded to expand female executives in public institutions, and the ratio of female executives should be a quantitative indicator in the management evaluation of public institutions.
