53 people were arrested for intentionally causing accidents and paying insurance money.

The Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency arrested 53 people a day and arrested one of the main offenders on charges of picking up a car that was partially out of the lane, deliberately hitting it, and receiving excessive hospital treatment.

Most of them, who are in their 20s, are accused of paying 250 million won in insurance money after committing 39 intentional accidents in various parts of Daegu for two years from 2019.

The police, along with the National Forensic Service, closely analyzed their accidents and found out the crime after looking into their accounts and phone calls.
