Regarding a civic group's request to disclose internal operating regulations of the secretariat over allegations that the presidential office represented Kim Gun-hee's lawsuit, the second trial court also decided that it should disclose it.

The Seoul High Court today (14th) ruled in favor of the plaintiff, as in the first trial, in a lawsuit filed by the People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy against the Presidential Chief of Staff to cancel the denial of information disclosure.

Earlier in January last year, the presidential office filed a complaint against Kim Eui-gyeom, a former lawmaker of the Democratic Party of Korea, who raised suspicions about Kim's stock price manipulation.

In response, the People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy requested the disclosure of information on the operating regulations of the presidential secretary's office, saying whether the legal secretary's office, which assists the president, could file a complaint regarding Kim's personal issues.

However, the president's office decided to keep it private, saying that if it is disclosed due to security matters, it could interfere with fair performance.

However, the first trial ruled that it is difficult to admit work disruptions and that it is a matter of public interest that requires public monitoring and control over how each department of the secretariat handles work.
