At today's plenary session, the issue-free public welfare bill was also dealt with by agreement between the ruling and opposition parties.

A bill that allows fake investigations into digital sex crimes and the "Kim Ho-joong Prevention Act," which allows punishment of so-called "drunkering" after drunk accidents, have crossed the National Assembly threshold.

Singer Kim Ho-joong was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison in the first trial for a drunk hit-and-run accident.
At the time of
, there was a controversy by exploiting the so-called 'drunkering' method.

'Drinking' is a criminal method of drinking additional alcohol after driving under the influence of alcohol for the purpose of interfering with the police's sobriety test.

As a result, there was a lot of public anger because there was no proper punishment regulation, but the law was revised six months after the incident.

The revision of the Road Traffic Act and the "Kim Ho-joong Prevention Act," which imposes imprisonment of more than 1 year and less than 5 years or fines of more than 5 million won and less than 20 million won for drunk driving, have crossed the threshold of the plenary session by agreement between the ruling and opposition parties.

" I declare that the alternative to some amendments to the Road Traffic Act has been approved."

A revision to the Sexual Violence Punishment Act, which allows investigative agencies such as police to fake digital sex crimes such as deepfakes, has also been passed.

Previously, fake investigations were possible only for digital sex crimes targeting children and adolescents, but the revision expanded the scope to adult crimes.

A revision to the Civil Defense Basic Law, which provides the basis for compensation from the government in case of damage caused by the spraying of North Korean filth balloons, has also been approved.

The ruling and opposition parties dealt with more than 20 cases, including non-controversial bills on people's livelihoods, including them.

Earlier, the policy committee heads of both parties also agreed to deal with six bills on people's livelihoods, including the Depositor Protection Act and the Crisis Youth Support Act, which raise the deposit protection limit.

In addition, although there are some disagreements, including the Special Act on Semiconductors, it has decided to deal with more than 70 bills that can be agreed upon in the regular session of the National Assembly.

[Kim Sang-hoon / People's Power Policy Committee Chairman: At yesterday's meeting, we confirmed once again that there are no ruling and opposition parties to revive people's livelihoods. I will also say that the power of the people will concentrate on the party's efforts to pass the bill on people's livelihoods and the budget for next year as soon as possible.

[Jin Sung-joon / Minjoo Party Policy Committee Chairman: We will do our best to warm up the people's livelihood by passing as many bills as possible at this regular session of the National Assembly.]

Although the ruling and opposition parties put their heads together on bills for people's livelihoods, there is still a strong-to-strong confrontation with the controversial bills amid the repeated special prosecution, leading to criticism that they are "half-way cooperation."
