Former lawmaker Yoon Mi-hyang, who was handed over to trial on charges of embezzling donations for victims of Japanese military Japanese Military Sexual Slavery, has been suspended from prison.

Four years after the indictment, the final conclusion was that he was "lost his parliamentary seat," but former lawmaker Yoon served his entire term due to the delay in the trial.

Back in May 2020, Lee Yong-soo revealed that donations for Japanese Military Sexual Slavery victims were not being used properly.

Former lawmaker Yoon Mi-hyang, who later served as the head of the Korea Council on Mental University Issues, was put on trial in September 2020 after it was revealed that she had embezzled donations from civic groups.

In the first trial in February last year, two years and five months later, only 17 million won, whose usage has not been proven, was recognized as embezzlement and was fined 15 million won.

However, the appeals court recognized nearly KRW 80 million in embezzlement for work,

Kim Bok-dong, grandmother, was convicted of raising 120 million won in personal accounts and using it for other purposes, and sentenced to one and a half years in prison and three years of probation.

Former lawmaker Yoon continued to plead not guilty, but the Supreme Court found him guilty, saying there was no legal misunderstanding in the second trial's judgment.
