U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's first overseas summit was Argentine President Javier Milay.

Trump met with President Milley at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on the 14th local time, the Associated Press reported, citing unnamed sources.

The meeting went well and Milay also met with investors, the source added.

After the meeting, Milay praised Trump's election in a dinner speech hosted by the Center for American First Policy at Mar-a-Lago, saying the world was safer.

In his speech, Trump also applauded President Milley as a "Make Argentina Great Again" activist who makes Argentina great again.
