President Yoon Suk Yeol will hold a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the occasion of his attendance at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and APEC in Peru.

Kim Tae-hyo, the first deputy director of the National Security Office, held a briefing in Peru and said that the Korea-China summit will be held in the morning of the 15th local time and around early tomorrow morning in our time.

It is the first time in two years that President Yoon and President Xi have met since November 2022.

Kim explained that the meeting will discuss various measures to promote economic cooperation, cultural and human exchanges, and exchange in-depth opinions on the situation in the region, including the Korean Peninsula.President Yun

will hold a trilateral summit with U.S. President Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on the 15th local time, and hold bilateral talks with President Biden.

On the 16th, he will also hold a Korea-Japan summit with Prime Minister Ishiba.

However, it seems unlikely that President Yoon will meet with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on the occasion of this trip to South America.

An official from the presidential office said that Trump's current meeting with overseas leaders is difficult until he takes office on January 20 next year, adding that for now, President Yoon is more likely to return to Seoul immediately after finishing his schedule.
