[Busan] Continuous improvement in employment indicators...Manufacturing employment rises for ninth straight month

The October 2024 employment trends released by the National Statistical Office showed that employment indicators in Busan continued to improve.

The Busan Metropolitan Government said last month that the employment rate between the ages of 15 and 64 reached 67.3%, the highest in October and the second highest figure since statistics were compiled.

It also said that the number of employed workers in the manufacturing sector has continued to rise for nine months, the highest number of employed workers ever.

An official from Busan City said that it will come up with a policy to respond to the decrease in the number of employees in the construction industry due to the sluggish domestic economy.
