The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office has decided to hand over the civic group's accusation of "suspected corruption in public opinion" involving political broker Myung Tae-kyun to the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office said yesterday (13th) that it has transferred the case to the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office, where investigations into related cases are underway.

Earlier last month, a civic group filed a complaint with the prosecution, claiming that Myung had manipulated poll data to win the election of Yoon, and that Yoon had granted him a favor, including Kim's nomination, in exchange for a free donation of 370 million won worth of polls.

After receiving the complaint, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office has continued its legal review, and it seems that the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office, which was focusing on the investigation of the NEC's accusation, decided to transfer it as it expanded the investigation to suspicions of opinion polls by reinforcing its manpower.

The Changwon District Court issued an arrest warrant today (15th) for Myung and former lawmaker Kim, who are key suspects in the alleged intervention in the nomination, saying they are feared to remove evidence.
