The Incheon District Court sentenced A, a man in his 30s, to three years in prison, as in the first trial, on charges of imprisonment and intimidation.
The court argued that the prosecutor should reflect the situation in which the victim made an extreme choice in the sentencing conditions, but it does not fit the principle of the balance of the crime because A was not charged with forcing the victim to appear on adult broadcasts, and explained that the original sentence is too light to be considered unfair.
Mr. A was arrested and charged with threatening his wife several times and keeping her at home, including that he would disclose his personal life on an adult broadcast from October to December last year.
A's wife died in December last year, leaving a suicide note complaining of damage.
The prosecution previously demanded seven years in prison in both the first and second trials.
