47.83% of the votes in the last presidential election...Conservation of KRW 43.4 billion for election expenses
First trial suspended prison sentence...Return all costs when confirmed
If the higher court's judgment remains the same, the Democratic Party will inevitably hit the economy
If the ruling is confirmed, the blow is not limited to 'politician Lee Jae-myung'.
The Democratic Party must return tens of billions of won in election expenses that were preserved in the last presidential election.

With representative Lee Jae-myung winning 47.83% of the vote in the last presidential election, the Democratic Party of Korea received a total of 43.47 billion won from the national treasury, including the election expenses and deposits it spent.
According to the so-called election public system, there should be no restrictions on participation in the election due to differences in economic power of candidates or parties,
This is because the state compensates for all election expenses if the vote rate of candidates for the
presidential election exceeds 15%.
However, as representative Lee was sentenced to probation of imprisonment for violating the election law at the first trial, he was on the verge of throwing up all the money he received.
This is because if a presidential candidate nominated by a political party is sentenced to a fine of more than 1 million won for violating the election law, the party must return all the compensated expenses.
The same applies not only to the elected, but also to the unsuccessful candidates.
However, as representative Lee said he would appeal against the first trial ruling immediately after the sentence, the return was not finally decided.
However, if the judgment does not change significantly in the appeal trial or appeal trial and is in a position to return 43.4 billion won, the Democratic Party of Korea is not expected to suffer a small blow.
