The delivery app platform and the store company have reached an agreement on brokerage fees in four months, but the pain surrounding it has not subsided.

Self-employed people, who have a large proportion of deliveries, are protesting, saying that there is no significant difference from the previous one, or that the burden has increased.

Reporter Hwang Bo Hye-kyung on the report.

Mr. A, in his 50s, who runs a pig's feet restaurant in Soongui-dong, Incheon, sighed when he saw the win-win situation.

This is because I have applied the fee rate that will change from next year, but it is not much different from now.

[Mr. A / Runs a pig's feet restaurant in Soongui-dong, Incheon: I was very disappointed and expected a big cut, but I'm disappointed because only the results have been produced to the extent that I feel there is little change]

Mr. B, a snack bar owner with a relatively low unit price, argues that he would rather lose money if the agreement was followed.

[Mr. B / Running a snack bar in Yongdu-dong, Seoul: If you increase the delivery fee by up to 500 won, I will spend about 300 won more than I was paying now..]

After as many as 12 meetings, delivery platform companies and business groups agreed to cut the commission rate from the current 9.8% to 2-7.8% depending on the sales segment, but the backlash continues.

The agreement includes raising delivery costs paid by self-employed people by up to 500 won
In the case of
, shop owners in the top 35% of sales will receive less settlement than before if the sales amount does not exceed 25,000 won.Organizations of

franchisees criticized that most of the self-employed had the same or even higher burden of fees and delivery costs.

He also pointed out that the final plan was made only with the approval of two of the four companies, including the Korea Federation of Small Businesses, which has a relatively small proportion of deliveries, and that it was not representative.

[Kim Young-moo / President of the Presidential Association for Fair Platform: As if you were generous, you would be enjoying the joy of the success of the operation by lowering the commission by 2% and raising the delivery fee by 500 won. The agreement was reached in a hasty manner, ignoring the two groups who objected to this and left in the middle.

The Baedal Minjok side said that based on the average order amount of 25,000 won, the cost burden of the bottom 65% of sales owners will be 20% less than before,
The
owner burden reduction effect applies equally to franchisees with a high proportion of deliveries.

Conflicts over the win-win plan are expected to continue for the time being amid calls for the government and the National Assembly to impose legislative regulations such as a 5% cap on fees.
