U.S. President-elect Donald Trump appointed Stephen Chung, a spokesman for the presidential campaign, as the White House press secretary on the 15th local time.

Stephen Chung, who served as the White House's strategic response director in the first Trump administration, has been active in various campaigns, including the 2008 John McCain Republican presidential campaign, and also worked as a publicist for the mixed martial arts UFC in 2013.

Trump also named Sergio Gorr as White House human resources director.

Sergio Gor founded Winning Team Publishing, which has mainly published Trump's books, with Trump Jr., Trump's son.

"Cheong and Gor have been trusted aides since my first presidential campaign in 2016, and have continued to advocate for the principle of "America First" through his first term in office and this year's historic victory," Trump said in a statement announcing the nomination.
