According to the Korea National Oil Corporation's oil price information system, the average price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide was 1,629.1 won in the second week of this month.
It rose 15.8 won per liter from the previous week, continuing its upward trend for five weeks.
Diesel also rose 17.8 won to 1,459.5 won per liter.
The Korea National Oil Association predicts that domestic product prices will continue to rise until next week due to the reflection of oil tax reductions.
However, the rise is expected to slow down from the end of this month as international oil prices fall and the dollar strengthens.
