President Yoon Suk Yeol, who is in Peru to attend the APEC summit, held a summit with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to discuss ways to expand security cooperation, including defense.President

Yoon said he hopes the successful launch of a bilateral foreign and defense ministers' meeting in Canada earlier this month will further expand comprehensive security cooperation, including reciprocal defense cooperation between the two countries.

He also added that next year marks the 10th anniversary of the entry into force of the Korea-Canada Free Trade Agreement, so let's deepen economic cooperation between the two countries, which are the optimal economic and security partners.

Prime Minister Trudeau responded by saying that the launch of the 2+2 meeting was an opportunity to show that cooperation between the two countries has taken a leap forward, and that the two countries should deepen related cooperation as a reliable strategic partner.President

Yoon and Prime Minister Trudeau condemned the illegal military cooperation between Russia and North Korea and agreed to work together to send foreign messages and respond in a united manner.
