President Yoon, Biden, Farewell Talk... "Proud Achievement Together"

President Yoon Suk Yeol and U.S. President Joe Biden, who will retire in January next year, held a farewell meeting in Lima, Peru.President

Yoon talked with President Biden during the first session of the APEC summit on the 15th local time, followed by the Korea-U.S.-Japan summit and the Korea-U.S. summit, said Kim Tae-hyo, the first deputy chief of the National Security Office, at a local briefing.At the South Korea-U.S. summit, President
Yoon thanked President Biden for his contributions to strengthening the South Korea-U.S. alliance and cooperation between South Korea, the U.S. and Japan, adding that most diplomatic and security achievements he is proud of in the first half of his term were achieved with President Biden.

In response, President Biden replied that he was proud to have accomplished many important things with President Yoon.

A senior presidential official said President Biden promised to support President Yoon and help behind the scenes, even if new leadership emerges for the election of the next president.
