A day after Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was deprived of his right to vote in the first trial for violating the election law, he attended a rally in downtown Seoul and condemned the Yoon Suk Yeol regime. He also encouraged the rally of supporters by saying, '∀
{Lee Jae-myung and democracy will never die', which is interpreted as his willingness to go head-on with the rental offensive.

Standing on the podium in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, Lee Jae-myung claimed that since he started politics 20 years ago, he has followed the path opened by the late former President Roh Moo Hyun, who broke his vested interests.

He stressed that he wanted nothing but to create a transparent and fair world as a tool for the people.

The investigation and trial against him are believed to have indicated political oppression, but he also brought up what he said right after the attack in January.

[Lee Jae-myung / Minjoo Party leader: Lee Jae-myung is not going to die. Democracy does not die, either. The future of this country does not die either. Please show us clearly.]

He also made it clear that he would fight for the rental, mentioning the recent controversy over golf by President Yoon Suk Yeol and Myung Tae-kyun.

Small opposition parties, including the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, and civic groups marched together to pressure Kim Gun-hee to accept the special prosecution.

[Lee Jae-myung / Minjoo Party leader: The fact that even the money we enjoy playing golf with the emperor is the money we earned by taking a packed bus early in the morning....]

The party leaders refuted Lee's first trial conviction one by one, denouncing it as a political judgment beyond the legal sentiment and common sense of the people.

[Park Chan-dae / Minjoo Party floor leader: It's a crazy ruling for a crazy regime. It is a political judgment that serves to remove the political opponent of the prosecution's dictatorship.

Prior to the rally, the Democratic Party convened its lawmakers and regional chairmen across the country to hold an emergency joint meeting and strengthen a single formation.

In the conference room, there were a series of voices calling for more active efforts to compare representative Lee to the late former President Kim Dae Jung, who was sentenced to death in the past, impeach the president, and revise the constitution to shorten his term of office.

The party is trying to minimize the impact of the results of the first trial by joining forces in the rental offensive, and Lee's perjury teacher case is scheduled to be sentenced on the 25th, so the atmosphere of confusion inside and outside the party is expected to continue.
