A man who took hostage at a restaurant outside Paris, France, has been arrested.

On the afternoon of the 16th local time, a man locked up four restaurant employees and threatened them with a weapon at a pizza restaurant in Isiremullino, southwest of Paris, France.

While police were deployed around the restaurant, a mediator was deployed to persuade them, and all the hostages were released safely.

"The operation is over," police sources told AFP, explaining that the arrested man had done something similar at his home the year before.

The restaurant where the hostage crisis took place is known to be run by the man's parents.
