Recently, warm weather like spring appeared in November, with midday temperatures exceeding 20 degrees.

From today, the temperature will change in the opposite direction.

The temperature plummeted by about 10 degrees overnight, and the first sub-zero cold will come to Seoul from tomorrow (18th).

Reporter Jung Hye-yoon's report.

Over the past week, the seasonal clock seemed to be set in the spring, heading for summer, not fall.

Inland daytime temperatures exceeded 20 degrees Celsius every day, maintaining spring temperatures from late April to early May.

In some areas, azaleas or royal azaleas that mistook the season have burst into flower buds.

Now the clock of the season changes on the other side.

Continental high pressure with cold air is expected to expand in the northwest, with strong cold going south from tonight (Sunday), temperatures dropping significantly by more than 10 degrees, and early winter cold below zero in the central part of the country, including the metropolitan area, starting tomorrow morning.

[Kyung Sang-min / Meteorological Agency forecaster: On the 18th (Monday), the temperature will drop sharply, and the frost or ice will be observed (water will freeze), and the cold weather will appear on the morning of the 18th, with a drop of about 10 degrees compared to the previous day]

In particular, morning temperatures will peak until Tuesday, and Seoul is expected to fall below zero for the first time this fall.

In addition, in the early cold, there is a possibility that snow will accumulate in the Yeongdong region early in the week.

The cold is expected to last about four days and then ease later in the week, recovering to normal temperatures.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said last week was very warm, so this week could feel relatively colder, and asked people to take care of their body temperature and health.
