Park Hyung-wook, chairman of the emergency committee of the Korean Medical Association, will hold a press conference at the Yongsan Medical Association Hall in Seoul at 10 a.m. tomorrow to announce the composition and direction of the emergency committee.
Earlier, the medical association's emergency committee held a steering committee and agreed to make up a total of 15 members.
Three medical professors, including three from the Korean Medical Association, the Korean Medical University, and the Student Association of the Graduate School of Medicine, and two from the National Association of Metropolitan and Provincial Doctors, will participate.
After the formation of the emergency committee is completed tomorrow, the medical association plans to set specific negotiations and struggles with the government, and it is expected that the medical doctors and medical students will make up 40% of the emergency committee members, reflecting their opinions to a large extent.
Medical students and medical students maintain that negotiations with the government are impossible without a review of the origin of the increase in medical schools in 2025, and some predict that it may be more difficult for them to participate in the ruling and opposition parties' consultative body if they speak out at the emergency committee.
