Samsung Electronics executives also bought a large amount of their own shares this year, with Samsung Electronics taking out a massive stock-boosting card on the 15th, which is a plan to buy 10 trillion won worth of shares.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system, 60 Samsung Electronics executives bought 232,000 shares and 15.77 billion won in amount this year.

Based on common stock, Samsung Electronics executives' average purchase price of treasury stocks this year is around 68,000 won per share, 28% higher than the closing price of 53,500 won on the 15th.

Executives' share buybacks serve to inform the market of their willingness to defend stock prices and manage responsibility, but as stock prices remained sluggish, Samsung Electronics eventually pulled out a large-scale share buyback card.

After the market closed on the 15th, Samsung Electronics announced its plan to purchase 10 trillion won worth of treasury stocks within the next year to enhance shareholder value.
