The National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts will begin a full-fledged review of the budget plan today (18th) based on the preliminary review results of each standing committee.

The budget adjustment subcommittee of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts will hold a meeting in the morning to review seven standing committees, including the Legislation and Judiciary Committee, which has completed preliminary review.

The opposition party, which has a majority of seats in the National Assembly, is determined not to restore the special activity expenses and special work expenses of the prosecution and the Board of Audit and Inspection, which were all cut by the standing committee.

On the other hand, the ruling party is in a position to cut the budget for regional love gift certificates, which is considered the "Lee Jae-myung's budget," and replace it with a budget to expand the Onnuri gift certificate business nationwide.

The ruling and opposition parties plan to vote on the budget plan at a general meeting on the 29th after the so-called review by the 25th, and keep the legal deadline of the 2nd of next month, but some predict that it will not be easy due to the extreme confrontation.
