Biden to allow Ukraine to hit mainland... "Possible use of North Korean military opponents" [Now News]

The New York Times (NYT) reported on the 17th (local time) that U.S. President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to attack targets inside Russia with long-range missiles supported by the U.S.

U.S. officials covered by the NYT say the missiles are likely to be initially used against Russian and North Korean forces to defend Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region of western Russia.

In the meantime, the U.S. has not provided Ukraine with weapons that can attack deep into the Russian mainland for fear of escalation, and has imposed restrictions on the use of supported weapons for such purposes.
