Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Commissioner Kim Bong-sik expressed regret over the YTN report that the police responded belatedly to the death of a single mother in her 30s due to illegal collection. At a regular press conference today (18th),

Kim, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, said, "The police intelligence officer received a report by phone from an acquaintance of the victim, but it seems that it took time to figure out the details because it was not specific."

In addition, the official investigation began more than a month after the intelligence officer reported it to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and a senior police official explained that it took longer to change the investigation department to a strong team in consideration of the seriousness of the case, including intimidation and blackmail.

The police also said they are actively collecting information on illegal collection damage cases, and asked them to report actively, although the direct report of the victim may be burdensome as it is important.
