For the first time in the Ulsan region, "Todak Todak," a sick child care center in Dong-gu, opened and began full-scale operation.

The center is a project in which local governments directly provide hospital companionship and hospital bed care if a child is suddenly sick, a guardian is unable to accompany a hospital, or if care is needed after treatment.

Available from the age of 6 to elementary school students, operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and service fees provided by the center are free, but you have to pay for hospital treatment and medicine yourself.

The project began with participants' suggestions at a childcare talk concert held by Dong-gu last year, and Dong-gu opened with care spaces such as beds, learning, and play spaces to minimize the gap in care.

"As the social role of local care is growing and the care environment is also changing, local governments have also opened a sick child care center to meet social needs," said Kim Jong-hoon, head of Ulsan's Dong-gu Office. "We will continue to work hard to create a good environment for raising children."
