Ruling and opposition parties face off on Yongsan Park and Yangpyeong High Speed Budget at the Budget and Accounts Committee.

On the first day of the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts' review of next year's budget reduction, the ruling and opposition parties fought over the Yongsan Family Park and the Seoul Yangpyeong Expressway budget.

The ruling party argued that the controversy over soil contamination at the site of the children's garden inside Yongsan Park was misinformation and that there was no risk problem, and that the budget for related projects was needed, but

The opposition party countered that the budget should be reduced, saying that there is still anxiety and that a company related to Kim Gun-hee has won a private contract.

The ruling party also demanded that the government draw up a budget under the government's eye, saying that suspicions of preferential treatment by the Kim family have been raised throughout the year over the Yangpyeong Expressway project.

However, the opposition party insisted on a full cut, saying that it is right to fill the budget first in areas where there is no suspicion of preferential treatment and push for the rest when the suspicion is resolved.
