In the world's most prestigious percussion competition, percussionist and percussionist Gong Seung-yeon won the runner-up prize.

Gong Sung-yeon became the first Korean to win the runner-up prize at the "2024 Dutch Tromp Percussion International Competition" held at Music Hebaugh in Eindhoven, Netherlands, yesterday (17th) at 4 p.m. local time.

The Tromp Percussion International Competition has been held every other year since 1971, and it has a unique status as a competition for percussion solo.

Gong Sung-yeon has stood out as a Perkusherist, debuting with Kumho Gifted Concert in 2015 and topping the Stuttgart World Marimba Competition in 2022.
