Yoon Suk Yeol's president says he will provide new humanitarian aid worth $10 million within this year to respond to the African food crisis.At the first session of the G20 Summit held in Brazil on the 18th, President
Yoon announced his pledge to combat global hunger and poverty and explained that the amount of food aid through the U.N. World Food Program will be expanded by 50% to 150,000 tons next year.

He added that the fundamental solution to hunger and poverty is economic growth in developing countries, which can only be achieved stably under the solid maintenance of a norm-based order.President

Yoon also urged the G20 leaders to immediately stop illegal military cooperation, saying the war in Ukraine is entering a critical phase due to North Korea's large-scale dispatch of troops to Russia.

Korea participated in the G20's Global Coalition to Combat Hunger and Poverty, which was launched today, as a founding member.
