Gyeonggi Province and Singapore have been engaged in steady exchanges, including a meeting between President Tarman Shanmugaratnam and Communications Information Minister Josephine Teo at the Davos Forum in Switzerland earlier this year and a delegation led by Singapore's Smart Nation Deputy Secretary Augustine Lee's visit to Gyeonggi Province.
The Singapore government also officially invited Governor Kim through the Nathan Fellowship, a program that invites foreign dignitaries to share their insights.
