The U.S. and Russia clashed head-to-head at the U.N. Security Council as the war in Ukraine marked its 1,000th day.

The Korean government also pointed out that the situation is very different to discuss the method of ceasefire in the Korean War to end the war in Ukraine.

Diplomatic warfare has also intensified as the U.S. has released a seal allowing Ukraine to use its 300-km-range Atax missile to attack mainland Russia.

It was the United States that opened the door first.

Russia has been lying since before the war, and now it has even attracted North Korean troops.

[Linda Thomas-Greenfield / U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations] Russia relies on North Korea for weapons and troops. At least 10,000 people have been deployed to western Russia to begin operations.

Russia confronted US President Joe Biden by taking issue with unsealing ATACMS.

[Vasily Nevenza / Russian Ambassador to the United Nations] According to reports, the United States has taken the suicide step of granting Zelensky permission to use long-range weapons to strike inside Russia.]

In the meantime, the government said that the situation is different to apply the Korean War ceasefire to the Ukrainian War.

[Hwang Joon-guk / Ambassador to the United Nations] One of the major differences is that the front lines were similar to the pre-war border during the armistice negotiations of the Korean War.]

In particular, it is expected that it will not be easy for Ukraine, which has lost 20% of its territory, to accept a ceasefire.

Diplomats at the U.N. say they feel helpless about not being able to stop the deaths caused by the war in Ukraine by diplomatic warfare alone.

As a result, there are observations that if Trump pushes for a ceasefire in earnest, he may accept it as the next best option.
