Cho Sung-jin performs solo on the legendary 'Lord Simon Rattle' Asia Tour

Korea's leading pianist Cho Sung-jin will collaborate in a performance by the Bavarian Broadcast Symphony Orchestra led by world-renowned conductor Simon Rattle in Korea.

The Bavarian Broadcast Symphony Orchestra held a press conference with Cho Sung-jin in the rehearsal room of Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul today to explain the first performance in six years in Korea.

Cho Sung-jin gave meaning to the concert, saying that the Brahms song to be played this time is physically and mentally difficult, but I didn't know it was difficult because the role of the orchestra, including the conductor, was important.

Cho will perform Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2 to Korean fans for the first time in the concert.

Lord Rattle, who was appointed as the permanent conductor of the Bavarian Broadcast Symphony Orchestra last year, said of the Korean performance, "I feel comfortable and at home," adding, "I feel like the entire orchestra is in my hometown."

At the same time, he praised Cho Sung-jin, who is the solo performer on the Asian tour, saying that he has no concerns that the pianist and the band should hand over each other as well as the tennis game.

Sir Simon Rattle is a virtuoso conductor who has led the world's top orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra.

The concert will be held at the Lotte Concert Hall in Jamsil, Seoul, on the 20th and 21st, and will perform concertos and symphonies by Webern and Beethoven, including Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2.
