The budget settlement review subcommittee of the National Assembly's Women and Family Committee voted to increase next year's budget to 13.1 billion won, an increase of 8 billion won from the government's plan to cope with digital sex crimes such as deepfake pornography.

Specifically, the budget will be increased to expand the operating hours of the Digital Sexual Crime Victim Support Center and to strengthen and promote the manpower of the Damage Reporting Counseling Center.

The budget for the child support performance management center, which became an independent corporation in September, was also decided at 5 billion won, up from the government's plan.
