The National Assembly Steering Committee held a plenary session and decided to accuse about 10 witnesses, including First Lady Kim Gun-hee, of not attending the parliamentary audit, refusing to testify, and insulting the National Assembly.

The Steering Committee decided on the "2024 National Audit Witness Accusation" led by the opposition party.

People's Power lawmakers protested that it can only be seen as retaliation for Lee Jae-myung's first trial ruling, saying that it is an excessive abuse of the right to accuse witnesses already accused by the Legislation and Judiciary Committee.

In addition to Kim, eight witnesses were accused of not attending the parliamentary inspection, including former lawmaker Kim Young-sun, a key figure in the alleged intervention of the nomination, and four others, including Kim and Lee Won-mo, secretary of public office discipline, were added to the reason for refusing to accompany the order.
