A fire broke out at a waste treatment plant in Changsin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, around 2 a.m. today (20th).

There were no casualties, but as the flames intensified, the fire department once issued the first phase of its response, mobilizing both its personnel and equipment.

The fire department, which extinguished the blaze in about an hour, is investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
