While former T-ara member Hwayoung claimed that stylist and broadcaster Kim Woo-ri's past remarks were false and damaged by them, she asked Kim Woo-ri about her position.

Kim Woo-ri said of Hwa-young on Channel A's "I Heard Through Rumors" in 2017, "Our staff also felt that she was rude and did it enough," adding, "What I can say firmly is that there is no fault with the existing T-ara." He continued, "I heard that the hair salon staff who was washing their hair was called 'Shampoo'. Such bad rumors spread," he said.

At the time, Hwayoung countered, "I knew Mr. Kim, so stop making it up," and Kim Woo-ri said through his agency, "I didn't mean to undermine Hwayoung."
