Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, said he will come up with a "Korean-style discovery system" that forces the perpetrators to submit evidence before litigation to prevent large companies from stealing technology from small and medium-sized companies.

Lee made the remarks at the Supreme Council, referring to an example of a company that enjoyed unfair profits by handing over technical data from suppliers to China to lower the unit price of parts.

He then stressed that the National Assembly will take measures to protect technology, saying that such technology violations, which are directly linked to the survival of small and medium-sized businesses, should be severely punished by destroying the market order and damaging the industrial ecosystem.

Lee also pointed out that the government is only engrossed in political strife as it will not be enough to focus its national capabilities on reviving the people's livelihood, and that history and the people do not forgive abuse of power.
