Global OTT Disney+ has a stronger Hallyu craze.

Disney Content Showcase APAC 2024' (Disney Content Showcase 2024) was held in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore on the morning of the 20th (local time). Looking back on the achievements so far, it has pre-released movie releases and streaming scheduled in 2025.

More than 500 reporters and partners from 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Korea, Japan, China and Australia, attended the site.

Disney, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel are currently preparing to be released.

On this day, Dana Walden, co-chairman of Disney Entertainment, called the series "Moving" and "Showgun" global hits and emphasized the influence of Asia-Pacific content on Disney. "The Asia-Pacific region is an important and active growth region for Walt Disney Company," he said. "It has an original story and talent."

In particular, the showcase will introduce new contents from Korea and Japan, and top global stars from the U.S. and Asia-Pacific regions will also attend to tell behind-the-scenes stories.

Original Korean contents include 'Lightning Shop', 'Trigger', 'Fine', 'HyperKnife', 'Nockoff', and 'Nine Puzzle'.

On this day, the premiere of "Lightning Shop" and a press conference will be held, with actor Kim Hee-won, who will present his first work as a writer and director Kang Pul, leading actors Joo Ji-hoon and Park Bo-young attending. This is the second meeting between Kang Pul and Disney since "Moving."

Tomorrow (21st) will be joined by "Trigger" actor Kim Hye-soo, Jung Sung-il, "Fine" actor Ryu Seung-ryong, Yang Se-jong "Paper Knife" actor Park Eun-bin and Seol Kyung-gu, "Nukoff" actors Kim Soo-hyun, Jo Bo-ah, and "Nine Puzzle" actor Kim Da-mi Son Seok-gu.

Disney+, which launched its official service in South Korea in 2021, has released and confirmed more than 40 original content over three years through 2023. Among them, "Moving" topped the original drama outside of the U.S., with Disney+'s largest viewing in 2023.
