The Supreme Court upheld the original ruling that sentenced Jang's former agency CEO Kim Jong-seung, who was indicted on charges of perjury, to one and a half years in prison.
Kim is accused of perjury five times in connection with Jang's case in 2012 when he attended the defamation trial of former Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Jong-gul.
Earlier, the first trial admitted only some perjury charges and sentenced him to four months in prison with a one-year suspended sentence, but the appeals court found all perjury guilty and sentenced him to one and a half years in prison and arrested him in court.
At the time, the court criticized that Jang ran an agency to which he belonged and was in a hurry to avoid responsibility and reduce or conceal the case, even though he knew the inside better than anyone else.
The Supreme Court rejected Kim's appeal, saying there was no mistake in misunderstanding the law on the establishment of perjury in the judgment of the lower court.
