Gyeonggi-do Province has eased restrictions on restaurant business by designating and announcing Gwangju branch and Yangseo and noodle environmental improvement zones in Yangpyeong-gun as "restrictions on behavior" within the Paldang water source protection zone.

Restaurant permits in the water source protection area are generally not allowed, but the environmental maintenance area designated as a public sewage treatment area is within 5% of the number of households and the restaurant floor area is within 100㎡, allowing indigenous people to change the use of restaurants.

However, if the water quality of the effluent is less than 25% of the standard, regulations will be eased to 10% of the number of households and 150㎡ of restaurant area, and if the water quality is less than 50% of the standard, either the number of restaurants or the area regulation will be relaxed.

As a result, 198,000 square meters of the Namjong-myeon branch in Gwangju can be repurposed into restaurants up to 10% of the total number of residents, and the total floor area of the restaurant has been lifted to within 150 square meters.

Yangpyeong-gun Yangseo-gun's 549,000㎡ and 267,000㎡ of noodles were subject to deregulation up to 10% of the number of households.
